In your land, there may be stories of the Fae taking people away. Perhaps you haven't heard of the Fae at all, or perhaps you are more familiar with them than others. No matter how well acquainted you are with the Fae, everyone around you has experienced the same fate tonight: Being taken by them. Partially, at least. For they did not want to kidnap anyone from their home and take them away from the life they knew. In a small jar of fairy dust, part of your soul was taken in the night and brought to a magical village by the name of Fable.

On arrival, the Fae release you from the jar before waving their magic wands, and materialise this taken little part of you into a brand new you. From here onwards, your new life begins, shared among magical creatures from all walks of life. Here, you will be allowed to grow, thrive and enjoy the bounties provided to you by these mysterious and wonderful creatures. In exchange, they ask for a share of the magical fruit that you grow in your garden, in order for their dragon overseer to reclaim his own magic and find his missing siblings. After a briefing on your new life, you understand things as best as you possibly can. Now, it's time to settle into a brand new cottagecore life.

Now that you are a resident of Fable, you have a brand new cottage, a garden, and a few tools to use! There's not an awful lot in your cottage, though: Just a cardboard box, a lamp, a cassette tape and a single bed. Fortunately, though, it seems that your kitchen is stocked with ingredients. Enough to make a pie, at least! Most of the village shops are currently closed due to the bad weather, so it seems like socialising with your neighbours might be your best shot at finding something to do.

Something sparkly catches your attention before you realise it's a message board, advertising an array of tasks for bonus fruit. Did this thing appear out of nowhere just now? That must be the case, since you can swear it wasn't there a second ago. Perhaps the board will urge you to find some fellow people who are in a similar situation as you. The cold weather might inspire you to go fishing in the river canals, have a snowball fight, make warm drinks for people, get active in the kitchen or go sledding!

Or, just ... do whatever you want! This is your magical home now, might as well make the most of it!

While wandering through the village, you suddenly hear a voice appear out of nowhere. "Help ..." The voice speaks, rather ominously, which might alarm you. "Turn around ..." It says again, which may send shivers down your spine that aren't related to the cold. "Now, come closer. No, closer. Closer!" Jeez! You know this place is filled with magical creatures, but what on earth is taunting you at the moment? You can't see anything! There's just a Snowman in front of you.

"Hello." Wait, did that Snowman just--? "I am a Snowman." He did. He talked to you.

"I am lonely. Please build me some friends." Well, it's not like you have anything better to do ... "I will give you a reward if you do. Come to me when you have built, and I will give you a reward." Seems simple enough. You almost walk away to get started, until--

"HOLD IT!" He yells, very loudly for a Snowman. "You must use teamwork to build a Snowperson. The best Snowpeople are made with friends. Find a friend and build a Snowperson for me. Thank you."

Well, there you have it! You have been tasked with finding someone to build a Snowperson with. And of course, because these Snowfolk are magic, they're going to be quite particular about how they want to be built. They may berate you and act fussy during the process. You must divide the work between you and your acquaintance in order to complete your Snowperson. Get creative with hats, scarves, shapes, face designs - and whatever else you think the Snowperson should have!

Your final result will produce either an immaculate (or terrible) Snowtyke, Snowboy, Snowmam or Snowman who will reward you both with a random piece of winter furniture and an extra surprise!

In Finnish mythology, it is believed that the Northern Lights (Revontulet) are the creation of a fox who runs across the night sky. In Fable, this very same fox is the one responsible for the Northern Lights of their skies - and while he spends a lot of his time away from the realm to decorate the skies of many other places, he returns every Winter for a fantastic show (and incredible party!)

To celebrate his return, Fable's residents gather in Skáld to host a ball and have a big party beneath the lights. And you have been invited! No need to worry about travel - with your magical invitation, you can be poofed there in an instant! In an act of generosity, the Fox of the Northern Lights has temporarily given you a dose of his magic in order for you to join in the fun! While the party is ongoing, you will have a glowing pair of aurora wings which allow flight, a dazzling new outfit, an immunity to the cold, and the ability to create aurora streaks in the sky!

The moment you accept the invitation and arrive in Skáld, the magical effects from the Aurora Fox will activate! Shimmering sparkles will envelope you before you find yourself wearing a brand new outfit and accessories for the evening, and they really are very sparkly! Your floating aurora wings spawn behind you in any colour, and just like that, you're ready for the party! Don't worry about the outfit you were wearing prior to this, it has been transported back to your wardrobe in your cottage. With magic, of course!

The party runs for a few days, and it's a lot bigger than you imagined. Just how many mythological creatures are attending? You and the otherwordly attendees will be staying in a nearby wooden lodge that has been upscaled with magic in order to accommodate its large guests. The lodge has spacious rooms, complimentary meals, and even a heated outdoor pool!

The party itself takes place on a mountain adjacent to the lodge with an outdoor ballroom, Troll DJs playing through the night (with both upbeat and slow music), a bonfire, a food buffet and a bar!

Fancy a drink? There are cocktails and mocktails being served all night by the Troll bartenders! Who knew Trolls were so good at mixing drinks? Cocktails and mocktails are exactly the same in taste, except mocktails don't have any alcohol in them. If your character doesn't like to drink, they can still enjoy the tasty beverage without getting drunk!

Regardless of alcohol content, however, each drink will have a funny effect on the person consuming it.
Pink Pixie will make people feel more flirty and sensual, Minty Manticore will make people hyperactive and chatty, Blue Bunyip will give them a case of the blues by inspiring a little bit of sadness, and Purple Pegasus will make them sentimental and emotional.

A. Arrival:

Do you wanna help me bake a pie?

[ The young voice likely comes from below you where a young girl around the age of 7 or 8 peers up at you with a bright, hopeful smile. Her brown hair is tugged to the sides in a pair of pigtails decorated with pink bows and she's dressed in a warm, puffy pink coat and soft pink mittens. Yes, there seems to be a theme here.

She's currently cradling a steaming mug of cocoa in her hands, but if she notices you looking particularly chilled, she'll offer it to you with a concerned look. ]

Are you cold? Do you want some? This will help!

[ A while later, however, she might be watching a few of the new arrivals sledding and sliding down a nearby snow-covered hill, her eyes wide with excited wonderment. She bounced up and down in an excited little jump, pointing in their direction. ]

Oooh! That looks like fun! Wanna try it?

B. Snowmans!:

Don't worry, Mister Snowmans! We'll build you some friends so you won't be lonely anymore!

[ Nanako seems to have taken to this mission with just as much eager determination as she did most things. Besides, she didn't like to think of anyone being lonely, that just made her sad. And maybe helping the snowmans have some friends here would make her less lonely at the same time. Or at least, not have to think about that for a while.

She does glance around her for someone to come help, however, because building a magical snowman is a Big Job, even when you are so big at 8 now! She runs up to the nearest person to tug on their jacket or sleeve hopefully. ]

Do you know how to build snowmans?

C. Aurora Ball:

[ This wasn't like any party Nanako had ever gotten to go to before. First of all, this definitely seemed like a Big Person's Party, but no one had said anything about her not coming, too, and when she'd shown up, a big beautiful floofy dress had appeared, perfectly full enough that the skirt went swirling and swooping when she spun in a circle. Which she promptly did, until she was dizzy and giggling. Somewhere in there, she'd realized there were glittering rainbow-colored fairy wings fluttering on her back and that just made her even more delighted.

Still, since she didn't seem to be in trouble for being here, she wanders around the party, sampling the yummy food, trying the drinks that are not for the big people (although the lady making her the drinks says she'll like the green or purple one better than her signature pink, alas). She might be found soaking up the heat near the bonfire, dancing off to the side of the dance floor, or on the outskirts of the party, gazing up into the night sky at the northern lights in awe and wonder. ]

Ooooh! It's so pretty!

Why me...?

[ please, anyone but him. he didn't want to come off as mean, but this was definitely one of those times where upsetting children was one weakness he definitely hated. (was that a light blush on his face? no you're imagining things.) ]

Surely there are others in town who can bake a better pie than I do.

[ She blinks up at him, some of her enthusiasm dimming when that was not the immediate agreement she was hoping for. Not to be deterred, however... ]

Do you not know how? I could show you!

[ curse having a weakness to small children...! ]

I... would definitely appreciate that. It doesn't hurt to learn new things...

[ but wait, that brings up a good point in his head: why does a rather small human know how to bake a pie? maybe he could ask? but he figures it would be best to have some form of tact for now. ]

Where are we baking, if I may ask?

[ She knows how to make way more than pies! But someone had asked for pies, so she's trying to help.

At his question, she just beams up at him cheerfully, seemingly without a care in the world. ]

In a kitchen, of course! [ Which prompts her to glance around. ] Did they give you a cute little house, too?

[dejabrewed]

[ okay yeah he should’ve expected that. ]

Uh, yes, I live right down here. [ he motions to the cottage just down the road. it was just barely attended to, but at least all the snow was off it. ]

If it’s easier for us to use my kitchen, then by all means.

( when Amber feels a tug on her sleeve, she looks down and notices an adorable little girl asking to build a snowman with her. oh, no! so cute...! immediately, she smiles, before crouching down on her knees in order to greet Nanako at eye level with a wave of her hand. )

Hello! I would love to build a snowman with you! He did say he wanted some friends, didn't he? I think we're just the girls for the job!

( one little thing before they begin, though. ever doting and kind, Amber loosens the red bandana around her neck. )

Are you cold at all? Would you like to borrow my scarf? It'll keep you nice and toasty while we make them!

[ Nanako's face lights up when the stranger agrees to help her, bright smile curving across her face. She even gives a little delighted bounce in anticipation.

But then the other girl offers her her scarf and Nanako holds up hands that are still carefully encased in fluffy pink mittens, not to mention her warm thick coat. ]

I'm okay! This coat is real warm and these mittens are, too! Besides, you should stay warm, too, or you might get sick!

( Amber giggles fondly, securing her red bandana around her neck once again. )

That's great to hear! I'll do my best to stay warm too. If you ever get too cold at any point, just let me know, okay? ( she begins to scoop some snow up into her hand, patting it into the shape of a ball. ) Let's get started then!

( oh! right! )

I'm Amber! What is your name?

[ The little girl beams and turns to start rolling some of the snow into a ball. ]

Have you made snowmans before?

Yeah, I sure have!

( she pats the snowball in her hands. )

What kind should we make, do you think? How about a big tall one, or a teeny tiny one?

[ Nanako gives that considerable thought for a moment, tugging at her lower lip with a fingertip. ]

Ummmmmmm... Maybe if we made a couple little ones instead that would cheer him up and make him not so grumpy?

That's such a wonderful idea! You really are a clever girl, Nanako!

( Amber crouches again and starts patting a shape for a tiny snowperson body. )

I know that if I were a grumpy snowman, I'd feel so much happier with many little friends all around me!

[All of this is a little much for Itto to grasp as a whole, but he's doing his best. Fortunately, doing his best means taking it in stride and worrying about the details later on! Getting to know the folks who have found themselves in the same situation he has seems like the best way to get his feet under him, and at the moment, Nanako's attention has been caught by the very same activity that's grabbed his.]

You bet I do!

[They don't get snow like that in Inazuma, that's for sure!]

Whaddya think? Bet we could find a couple of sleds and race it out!

[ At his enthusiastic response, Nanako turns to beam up at him in excitement, bouncing a little as she grins at him. ]

Can we?! I wanna try!

Of course!

[No way he's gonna pass up this opportunity!]

I'm not gonna go easy on you just 'cause you're a kid, though!

[He only plays FAIR.]

[ Don't underestimate her just because you're bigger than she is, mister! ]

[Yeah! Height of competition! He looks back towards where they'd spotted people sledding, then beckons for her to join him as he heads in that direction.]

C'mon, let's head on over there, I bet we'll find some. What's your name?

I'm Nanako!

[ She smiles up at him, reaching up to latch mittened fingers on the edge of his coat to hold on as she followed him, eagerly peering around for some free sleds for them to use. ]

What's yours?

this does indeed come off as a Big Person's party to tighnari as well, but the fae are tricky things, and very childlike themselves at times, so it isn't really shocking that there would be a little girl here. but also, there are a lot of very capable children in teyvat so?? he's not entirely unused to this??

anyway, tighnari steps up beside her, all dressed up as well, the chains in his tail jingling as it sways, his tall ears perked up high. he kneels beside her. ]

It is, isn't it?

[ She's not a rogue!!! She doesn't even know what that means... ]

Yeah! It's so bright and there's so many colors!

[ Her exuberant answer comes with her eyes still locked on the sight overhead, but a moment later, she turns to look at who spoke to her and she pauses, her eyes widening slightly in surprise and delight. ]

Whoa!

[ ROGUE!!

tighnari chuckles warmly, leaning his weight onto one knee as he regards her. ]

Hmm? What is it?

[ NO U!

But Nanako realizes she's been caught staring and ducks her head a little in embarrassment before offering him a sheepish smile. ]

Hi. Sorry, I didn't mean to stare. But your ears are s cool!

[ She might be fangirling a little. ]

Oh.

[ well, she's a small child, she can get away with mentioning his ears right off the bat. tighnari chuckles softly, twitching one ear, before he dips his head toward her. ]

You can touch them, if you like.

[ they're very soft!! ]

[ Somehow, her eyes get even wider and she eyes his twitching ear with a childish look of longing and delight. ]

Can I? Are you sure? [ They sure look soft! ] I'll be careful!

[ And she is, as she reaches out to stroke her fingers against the very soft fur, gigging in delight as she does so. Her entire day is made! ]
