In your land, there may be stories of the Fae taking people away. Perhaps you haven't heard of the Fae at all, or perhaps you are more familiar with them than others. No matter how well acquainted you are with the Fae, everyone around you has experienced the same fate tonight: Being taken by them. Partially, at least. For they did not want to kidnap anyone from their home and take them away from the life they knew. In a small jar of fairy dust, part of your soul was taken in the night and brought to a magical village by the name of Fable.

On arrival, the Fae release you from the jar before waving their magic wands, and materialise this taken little part of you into a brand new you. From here onwards, your new life begins, shared among magical creatures from all walks of life. Here, you will be allowed to grow, thrive and enjoy the bounties provided to you by these mysterious and wonderful creatures. In exchange, they ask for a share of the magical fruit that you grow in your garden, in order for their dragon overseer to reclaim his own magic and find his missing siblings. After a briefing on your new life, you understand things as best as you possibly can. Now, it's time to settle into a brand new cottagecore life.

Now that you are a resident of Fable, you have a brand new cottage, a garden, and a few tools to use! There's not an awful lot in your cottage, though: Just a cardboard box, a lamp, a cassette tape and a single bed. Fortunately, though, it seems that your kitchen is stocked with ingredients. Enough to make a pie, at least! Most of the village shops are currently closed due to the bad weather, so it seems like socialising with your neighbours might be your best shot at finding something to do.

Something sparkly catches your attention before you realise it's a message board, advertising an array of tasks for bonus fruit. Did this thing appear out of nowhere just now? That must be the case, since you can swear it wasn't there a second ago. Perhaps the board will urge you to find some fellow people who are in a similar situation as you. The cold weather might inspire you to go fishing in the river canals, have a snowball fight, make warm drinks for people, get active in the kitchen or go sledding!

Or, just ... do whatever you want! This is your magical home now, might as well make the most of it!

While wandering through the village, you suddenly hear a voice appear out of nowhere. "Help ..." The voice speaks, rather ominously, which might alarm you. "Turn around ..." It says again, which may send shivers down your spine that aren't related to the cold. "Now, come closer. No, closer. Closer!" Jeez! You know this place is filled with magical creatures, but what on earth is taunting you at the moment? You can't see anything! There's just a Snowman in front of you.

"Hello." Wait, did that Snowman just--? "I am a Snowman." He did. He talked to you.

"I am lonely. Please build me some friends." Well, it's not like you have anything better to do ... "I will give you a reward if you do. Come to me when you have built, and I will give you a reward." Seems simple enough. You almost walk away to get started, until--

"HOLD IT!" He yells, very loudly for a Snowman. "You must use teamwork to build a Snowperson. The best Snowpeople are made with friends. Find a friend and build a Snowperson for me. Thank you."

Well, there you have it! You have been tasked with finding someone to build a Snowperson with. And of course, because these Snowfolk are magic, they're going to be quite particular about how they want to be built. They may berate you and act fussy during the process. You must divide the work between you and your acquaintance in order to complete your Snowperson. Get creative with hats, scarves, shapes, face designs - and whatever else you think the Snowperson should have!

Your final result will produce either an immaculate (or terrible) Snowtyke, Snowboy, Snowmam or Snowman who will reward you both with a random piece of winter furniture and an extra surprise!

In Finnish mythology, it is believed that the Northern Lights (Revontulet) are the creation of a fox who runs across the night sky. In Fable, this very same fox is the one responsible for the Northern Lights of their skies - and while he spends a lot of his time away from the realm to decorate the skies of many other places, he returns every Winter for a fantastic show (and incredible party!)

To celebrate his return, Fable's residents gather in Skáld to host a ball and have a big party beneath the lights. And you have been invited! No need to worry about travel - with your magical invitation, you can be poofed there in an instant! In an act of generosity, the Fox of the Northern Lights has temporarily given you a dose of his magic in order for you to join in the fun! While the party is ongoing, you will have a glowing pair of aurora wings which allow flight, a dazzling new outfit, an immunity to the cold, and the ability to create aurora streaks in the sky!

The moment you accept the invitation and arrive in Skáld, the magical effects from the Aurora Fox will activate! Shimmering sparkles will envelope you before you find yourself wearing a brand new outfit and accessories for the evening, and they really are very sparkly! Your floating aurora wings spawn behind you in any colour, and just like that, you're ready for the party! Don't worry about the outfit you were wearing prior to this, it has been transported back to your wardrobe in your cottage. With magic, of course!

The party runs for a few days, and it's a lot bigger than you imagined. Just how many mythological creatures are attending? You and the otherwordly attendees will be staying in a nearby wooden lodge that has been upscaled with magic in order to accommodate its large guests. The lodge has spacious rooms, complimentary meals, and even a heated outdoor pool!

The party itself takes place on a mountain adjacent to the lodge with an outdoor ballroom, Troll DJs playing through the night (with both upbeat and slow music), a bonfire, a food buffet and a bar!

Fancy a drink? There are cocktails and mocktails being served all night by the Troll bartenders! Who knew Trolls were so good at mixing drinks? Cocktails and mocktails are exactly the same in taste, except mocktails don't have any alcohol in them. If your character doesn't like to drink, they can still enjoy the tasty beverage without getting drunk!

Regardless of alcohol content, however, each drink will have a funny effect on the person consuming it.
Pink Pixie will make people feel more flirty and sensual, Minty Manticore will make people hyperactive and chatty, Blue Bunyip will give them a case of the blues by inspiring a little bit of sadness, and Purple Pegasus will make them sentimental and emotional.

[Hes says while... shouting. Typical Katsuki. He eyes Izuku up, hands in his pockets. Taking a moment to consider something.]

The snowy bastard said it doesn't count if it's alone, right? But you still started all by yourself. Pay attention to the assignment.

[fullgauntlet]

Eh??

[Izuku fumbles and grabs his snowball close.]

I was paying attention, Kacchan! I didn't think it was a bad idea to get a head start. Then let's work together? It shouldn't be too hard to make a few snowmen.

[callmekacchan]

Only if you give your all. You better not half-ass it!

[Which is Katsuki for "yes, I would like to build a snowman with you."

He jumps right into planning.]

We've got a good spot right over there. It's pretty flat. I'll start rolling a base. Start working on the middle.

[fullgauntlet]

[Izuku sweatdrops and tilts his head at that. Well, at least Katsuki is agreeing to work with him. But he's pretty sure he can't screw up making a snowman.]

Alright, Kacchan. I'll do my best?

[He takes the current snowball he's working on and gets prepared to start working on an appropriately sizes middle-ball.]

We should give it some proper features too, maybe a scarf or a carrot nose?

[callmekacchan]

You seen any carrots around here?

[He could always put his own scarf on it. But carrots...]

Could always give it a stick nose. Or a rock.

[fullgauntlet]

Erm. No, I guess not. Then we'll make do with what we have.

[But a carrot nose would look so much better than a stick or a rock... Izuku frowns slightly and continues his rolling, though.]

[callmekacchan]

[They could do some foraging. For now Katsuki focuses on their task. Carefully rolling to try to keep it nice and round and even. He makes it big, but not so big that they'll struggle to get the middle ball on top of it.

He eyes Izuku's in relation to his own and...]

That's probably the right size. Bring it here and we'll lift it up.

[fullgauntlet]

[Izuku looks up from his work when Katsuki gives him that remark. He blinks and then nods quickly before eagerly picking up his snow ball and coming to join Katsuki to build the snowman.]

Ah- Right! ... [Izuku mutters under his breath as he starts on the construction,] You know, Kacchan... I almost can't remember the last time I ever saw you building something like a snowman. It was probably when we were much younger.

[Izuku can't help bringing up the childhood thought...]

[callmekacchan]

[Katsuki gives him a look, quiet as they put one ball on top of the other before standing back to examine it critically.

Then he stoops, gathers a ball of snow. He then tugs out the front of Izuku's shirt and shoves the ball of snow down it.]

Focus on the job.

[Don't talk to him about childhood things.]

[fullgauntlet]

[Izuku is so innocently thinking about his memory lane... when... Katuski grabs his shirt and down that snow goes down it! Izuku squeaks wildly as the wet snow chills and wets his shirt and his skin!!]

Wah?! C-cold! Cold! Kacchan?!!?

[He frantically pulls at his shirt to get the snow out.]

Why did you do that?!

[callmekacchan]

'Cause you started muttering about pointless things.

[Because he's a gremlin who processes all his feelings as 'mad' in varying degrees. Stop making him feel things, Izuku. Gosh.]

Are we here to win or not?

[How does one 'win' at building snowmen?]

[fullgauntlet]

But I- I was just saying...?!

[Oh, forget it. Izuku frowns deeply and tries to pat out the wet spot on his shirt now. He shivers in the cold and has to pull his jacket in a little closer.]

Nevermind... You're right. Let's do our best to help out...

[So he's going back to finishing the construction.]

[callmekacchan]

[Katsuki doesn't respond. He just keeps working. Building snowmen with Izuku. Rummaging around to see what they can find to make faces for them.

But he's keeping an eye on Izuku.

Maybe snow down the shirt was too far if he's shivering? After they finish their second snowman, he holds out his hands towards Izuku.]

C'mere. Gimme your hands, nerd.

[fullgauntlet]

[It's just another day for Izuku. He tries to navigate around Katsuki to help without getting in this way...

But then Katsuki askes? That?]

Eh? Why?

[He's holding them up?]

[callmekacchan]

Don't ask stupid questions. Keep quiet.

[He peels off his own gloves, tucking them in a pocket for the moment and then takes one of Izuku's hands between his, staring at it intently and not looking Izuku in the eye as he warms it between his.

Don't comment, Izuku.

Don't do it.]

[fullgauntlet]

[............... Oh. Oh no.]

Kacch...

[Don't say a word, Izuku. He has a feeling if he does he'll get blasted apart so he quickly shuts his mouth. Katsuki's hands are so warm and this helps a lot. He's a bit jealous of Katsuki having such a thermal-based quirk. It must be so helpful...

Katsuki might not be looking at Izuku but Izuku is certainly staring at Katsuki...]

[callmekacchan]

[Katsuki’s face twitches as Izuku starts to speak. But since he doesn't finish the nickname, he takes his time warming first one hand and then the other.

Then he's abruptly letting go and turning away to examine the snowmen as he puts back on his gloves.]

Think we can tell that weird talking snowman we're done now?

[fullgauntlet]

[There, Izuku is in the safe zone. He's going to try his hardest not to overthink this for the next sixteen months. Even as he looks at his warmed hands and then tries to quickly stuff them away in his own pockets...]

Y-yeah. I think we can do that, Kacchan. It looks like w-we're done.

[He's just going to mechanically walk away back towards the waiting talking snowmen!]

[callmekacchan]

[Hey, at least the completed a task together without getting into a physical altercation. That's... progress of some kind, probably.

Katsuki is going to act like nothing weird at all has happened. Instead he starts to march along--until their newly built snowman calls for them to stop.

What??]

...what the hell? Is all the snow around here magic??

[Turns out they've built an admittedly somewhat wonky-faced snowboy...]

[fullgauntlet]

[Yeah, somehow they got through that without them throwing a punch or something. Probably because Izuku actually kept his mouth shut for once. Improvement...? Thanks snowmen??]

Eh?!

[Izuku looks over his shoulder at the snowman.]

You can talk too?! Does that mean... We created you too? Kacchan, I think we should pick him up and take him to the other snowmen.

[callmekacchan]

[Katsuki staaaaaaares at the snowman for a moment before turning to Izuku at that suggestion.]

You want to pick up and move a whole goddamn snowman??

[I mean... they could. They have the strength for it... But will it stay intact?]

...We'd probably have to put it on a sled or something to move it without destroying it.

[This wasn't in the instructions at all. But... guess they're doing it?? If they can find something to move it on. Because... honestly... breaking the snowman now would feel kind of like murder???]

[fullgauntlet]

I mean, how else are they going to be reunited?

[Izuku blinks at the other boy and then gives a nod. It's the most logical thing they can do in this situation. A hero wouldn't leave the new snowman alone when it could be returned to its fellow kind.

Luckily there does seem to be some snowy equipment standing up against one of the nearby cottages. Izuku glances over and decides to temporarily borrow one of the sleds there.]

Here, help me move him on it, Kacchan? If we're careful and work together to move him it shouldn't be too hard.

[callmekacchan]

Don't tell me what to do, damn you!

[And yet he's moving to the opposite side of the snowman, eying it up before getting in position.]

On three. One... two... three!

[And lift!

Meanwhile the snowman was just gonna reward them for their help. But. I mean if they're going to take him to his friend, he's not complaining?

He just comments maybe they should have just built him closer?]

No one said you were going to pull a Frosty on us, damn you!

[fullgauntlet]

[Izuku sweatdrops... Typical Kacchan.]

Thanks, Kacchan!

[Because he's going to say thanks for Katsuki actually helping him...?! On three Izuku and the other boy lift the snowman just so. And when it's done Izuku tries not to let out a small snort of laughter at Katsuki's response.]

It's better that we make sure you get over there safely anyway, ne? It makes sense. Let's move you over.

[Izuku's just treating this like hero work.]

[callmekacchan]

[I mean... it kind of is? Hero work is helping people. Even snow people...?

Their snowman comments that he's grateful for their help!]

Shuddup, you big pile of snow.

[Despite his grumbles, he helps move the snowman to the one who gave them the task.]
