In your land, there may be stories of the Fae taking people away. Perhaps you haven't heard of the Fae at all, or perhaps you are more familiar with them than others. No matter how well acquainted you are with the Fae, everyone around you has experienced the same fate tonight: Being taken by them. Partially, at least. For they did not want to kidnap anyone from their home and take them away from the life they knew. In a small jar of fairy dust, part of your soul was taken in the night and brought to a magical village by the name of Fable.

On arrival, the Fae release you from the jar before waving their magic wands, and materialise this taken little part of you into a brand new you. From here onwards, your new life begins, shared among magical creatures from all walks of life. Here, you will be allowed to grow, thrive and enjoy the bounties provided to you by these mysterious and wonderful creatures. In exchange, they ask for a share of the magical fruit that you grow in your garden, in order for their dragon overseer to reclaim his own magic and find his missing siblings. After a briefing on your new life, you understand things as best as you possibly can. Now, it's time to settle into a brand new cottagecore life.

Now that you are a resident of Fable, you have a brand new cottage, a garden, and a few tools to use! There's not an awful lot in your cottage, though: Just a cardboard box, a lamp, a cassette tape and a single bed. Most of the village shops are currently closed due to the bad weather, so it seems like socialising with your neighbours might be your best shot at finding something to do.

Something sparkly catches your attention before you realise it's a message board, advertising an array of tasks for bonus fruit. Did this thing appear out of nowhere just now? That must be the case, since you can swear it wasn't there a second ago. Perhaps the board will urge you to find some fellow people who are in a similar situation as you. It seems that the monthly tasks are geared towards togetherness due to this being the month of love!

When the 14th of February rolls around in Fable, every creature across the realm seems to be full of love! The villages all across the realm have many loved-themed attractions for the occasion. There are Fae folk giving away cookies in the streets, mysterious Cherubs flying around with bows and arrows that might make you suspicious, and a general sense of happiness and warmth can be felt all around.

Of course, Valentine's day is for more than the love shared between romantic couples, though! All kinds of love are celebrated on this day - platonic love, familial love, romantic love, and every other kind in between. To celebrate this romantic holiday, the Fae have poofed some attractions up into Fable including an outdoor café, a magical carousel and an evening firework show! When the fireworks explode, they explode into hearts! Isn't that sweet?

In Fable's town square, a magical carousel has appeared! As you take a closer look, you notice that the wooden horses seem to be alive...?! If you stare and linger for too long, the Fae may pester you to go and ride it! If you succumb to the wishes of the Fae (or decide to ride it out of your own accord), everything will seem to be pretty normal to start. The horses move up and down while music plays, giving a pretty novel carousel ride experience.

Then, suddenly, the horse you are riding will turn around to look at you...!? And then say: "Seems the two of you are getting along just great! Now, we'll take you on a date!" Uh, what!? Before you can ask questions, you realise that the horse you are riding has detached from the carousel, and it is now taking you to a new location with the person next to you to set you up on a date! Both you and the person riding the horse adjacent to you will be taken on a fun date spot by both of these horses. It seems to be far out of Fable, too! The horses will take the two of you for a fun time out in Kanshi! Known for its famous flower gardens and pink foliage, it makes for a wonderful date spot. Once the carousel horses deliver you, they tell you they'll come and pick you up...! On one condition. The condition is that you must either play 20 questions, truth or dare, go out for a meal or make flower crowns for each other. Simply whistle to call the horses back afterwards. Have fun!

Care for some candy? Although, you're pretty sure these are cookies ... In any case, there are several fairies flying around Fable with trays filled with complimentary candies! Upon first glance, they just look like a regular plain heart, but once they're picked up, they will tell you something you really need to hear right now. Something to warm you from the inside out!

Once you consume one of these candies, you won't be able to resist complimenting other people as well. The more you eat, the more compliments you'll give!

Uh oh, there's trouble in the air ... Mischievous Faerie Cherubs may shoot you in the heart with an arrow today! You won't feel it, but the momentum of being struck might make you wobble a little.

Red arrows will give you strong feelings of lust. Oh, my. When did everyone here get so attractive...? You feel like you're on fire. Better go somewhere private if things get heated between you and another.

Yellow arrows will make you feel like sunshine today! If you're usually a grumpy grump, you find yourself filled with inexplicable joy. It's probably contagious!

Pink arrows will fill you with so much love for the people you care about. It's like the holiday spirit of Valentine's has hit you full force! You really want to do something to show someone you care about them.

White arrows will give you a case of the hiccups that can only be cured with a kiss! You know the cure, but nobody else does (unless they've been affected too.) What will you do?

After a fun time on the 14th, you feel as though the Fae must be all partied out by now during February. Surely they can't still be partying this month? Wrong! They certainly are! You awaken one morning to discover that music is playing in the distance. If you feel intrigued enough to go and investigate, you will notice multicolour paper decorations lining the streets along with lots of bunting.

Any questions you may have will be answered very swiftly when a peacock bursts out of nowhere, wildly shaking his feathers! "WELCOME TO FESTIVALE!" He says, and before you can open your mouth to speak, he continues:

"One and TWO! Three and FOUR! Your hips! They do not move! They do not hear the music! They do not DANCE! Dancing is not done with your feet, but with your HEART!"

You still don't follow.

"Your heart cannot DANCE while you are lonely! Therefore, you must complete my scavenger hunt to make some friends! You must team up to find the magical feathers I have hidden! Bring the feathers to me, I will reward you with furniture! And you will reward yourself with friendship!"

Okay, you think you get it now. After reading the peacock's directions presented on a wooden sign, you are given the opportunity to participate in a scavenger hunt! What's there to lose, especially if there are prizes to be won?

Each feather will appear when participating in a different activity!
The activity involves gathering a material and doing something fun together in Fable's locations!
The material seems to be relevant to the type of furniture you want, too ...

Red feathers can be found when collecting stardust in Qijue! In order to assist with this task, a little bit of magic will temporarily give you feathered wings! Once you have gathered stardust from the sky and swapped a meaningful story, a red feather will appear! This feather can be swapped for a random piece of star furniture and its DIY recipe!

Green feathers can be found while gathering glowing moss in Limerick! In order to assist with this task, a little bit of magic will temporarily transform you into a tiny fairy with a moss pouch! Once you have gathered moss and danced together, a green feather will appear! This feather can be swapped for a random piece of moss furniture and its DIY recipe!

Blue feathers can be found when diving for seashells in Villanelle! In order to assist with this task, a little bit of magic will temporarily transform you into a mermaid! Once you have gathered some pretty seashells and played two truths and a lie, a blue feather will appear! This feather can be swapped for a random piece of mermaid furniture and its DIY recipe!

Purple feathers can be found while gathering blossom petals in Kanshi! In order to assist with this task, a little bit of magic will temporarily give you fairy wings! Once you have filled a basket with petals and shared an ice cream, a purple feather will appear! This feather can be swapped for a random piece of cherry blossom furniture! and its DIY recipe!

Once you have hit 5 comments each in your thread (10 comments total), you will be eligible to redeem your furniture and recipe! This is to guarantee the prize in case threads get dropped or fall incomplete. Reply here to do so!

[After receiving her orientation from the Fae (and after scoping out her new digs--definitely an upgrade from a dorm in the monastery!), Hilda can be found either reading over the marketboard or sitting on a bench nearby it tapping helplessly at her phone.

Regardless, whenever she notices someone approach she quickly shifts her attention to the newcomer with her most winning smile.]

I'm new and I'm kind of overwhelmed by all of this. Would you be willing to show me around? Please?

[Having someone else get her up to speed is WAY easier than figuring it out herself.]


b. merry-go-round

[Hilda has never seen a carousel before, but the whole ride is too cute not to give a try. As the music starts and the horses begin to move, she realizes that this is actually quite relaxing and delightful...

...Right up to the point where the horses start talking and kidnapping her and the poor person next to her. Despite her protests, she soon finds herself in Kanshi with strict instructions on what she has to do in order to be allowed to go home.

Siiiigh.]

I guess we're on a date now. I'm Hilda, by the way.


c. purple feathers and ice cream socials

[The peacock's whole spiel makes Hilda roll her eyes a little, but even so she decides she's game enough for the task. Gathering random things isn't that much work, and she gets free stuff as a reward. Given that she's just arrived, she needs that furniture and friendship right about now.

Hilda returns to Kanshi for the feather collect-a-thon, figuring that collecting flower petals would be pretty easy. What she didn't account for in her decision, however, is the fact that she has to collect so many of them to fill a basket. Huge miscalculation, but now that she's here she might as well see it through.]

Hey, do you think if we worked on a basket together he'd still count it?

[Well... see it through with as many cut corners as the peacock will allow, anyway.]

[When Izuku woke up he wasn't expecting to be whisked away to somewhere like this. Whisked away back to his school and his own dorm room bed? Sure. But not to a far-away storybook-like village to be dropped off in front of a dusty little cottage and told that it's all his own.

Izuku looks up at the quaint little cottage with a touch of worry in his expression. All of this seems too farfetched to be real and this is coming from somehow who is used to a world full of farfetched things like people with supernatural quirks. His eyebrows knit and he worries at his lip because all he can think about is what he's left behind and how he's going to get back... And get that part of his soul back?]

Growing my own magical fruit to give to the fairies? I don't mind helping them but... I have no idea where to start when it comes to growing anything.

[He mutters out loud to no one in particular. The problem here is Izuku does not have a green thumb whatsoever. What happens if he just kills all his apple trees because he has no idea what he's doing?? He's going to have to do some serious learning...]

[🥦 b: merry go round]

[Once Izuku gets himself oriented enough he finds himself wandering into Fable's town square. Seeing the lights and colour of the place is a bit heartwarming. This place doesn't seem dangerous, anyway. It's actually kind of cute here... And upon seeing the magical carousel Izuku only watches for a little while before the magical-looking horses suddenly chirp at him to get on the ride with another person.]

Wh-what? Go on a ride? Wait?! A date?!

[He looks at the person next to him (you?!) and startles on the spot. He's never been on a date before? He's a date-virgin?! Is he really going to be swept away on these horses for a magical impromptu date?! ... It's too late the horses are already snatching him and (you!) away for a fun time out!]

Hold on a second?!

[After a very hectic first arrival Izuku is actually... pretty hungry. So a chance to eat something is very welcome. He doesn't even care that it's very sugary-looking cookies. He wants a snack. He's actually starving!! And today has been a lot to process...

When he bites into one of the cookies he has a faint thought that he's not even sure if it's actually safe to eat anything that is given to him by fairies. But they've been kind so far so maybe it's okay? Then Izuku looks down at his cookie and reads the words...]

"No matter the weight on your shoulders, you will be able to carry on." Ah...

[Izuku didn't know that sentence would settle so easily in his heart. He sighs a little and nibbles on the cookie again. And then a compliment tumbles out of his mouth,]

Everyone has been so nice here.

[The horses don't care. It's not too long before the pair are dropped off in Kanshi, given suggestions on what to do on their date, and left to their own devices.]

[ Being coerced by the Fae is exactly what happens. It's not that Theo can't say no. That's, in fact, what he attempts to do. With a twitch of an ear, he had actually turned on his heel and made to leave. But the Fae themselves don't seem to like the idea. They don't leave him alone until he agrees.

The whole "you're going out on a date" concept actually irritates him. Arms crossing over his chest, his eyes narrow at whomever he has been unfortunately paired with. ]

A meal would be the easiest solution.

[ Because the Viera is not about to answer questions. Nor is he going to play games. ]


( Yellow and White Arrows )

[ The cherubs must be good at being relatively silent. Theo's ears don't pick up their movements so he continues on his way, not realizing that he's been struck. Rather, he stumbles a little, but catches himself. It's then that he looks around, sees no one...

And then moves on.

Yellow arrows will ensure that Theo is much more personable and carefree. A regular chatterbox if engaged in conversation. White arrows - well he'll be trying to cure those with other remedies, looking quite annoyed. ]


( Purple Feathers )

[ One of these days he'll probably not get suckered into a scavenger hunt. Maybe. Theo prides himself on his tracking abilities and ability to find things. Surely this time he should be able to just get the task done without too much nonsense, right? ...Right.

Wrong. Now here he is, basket in his hands. Bright aquamarine fairy wings fluttering behind him. And fluttering they are, scattering dust around him. ]

Mmn.

[ Whatever. Surely he can just collect blossoms in peace. Surely. ]

[Being "coerced by the Fae" is just a typical Tuesday for Rahk. Not that it's a hard thing to fall for, since Fae can be crafty...but he in particular knows he can't help but be caught up in the promise of a little fun and mischief. He's been known to gamble with his fate on more than one occasion, so can he truly be blamed?

The whole deal with the horses and being made to go on a date with someone is just par the course, really. Unlike Theo, he finds this all rather humorous. Especially given who he's been paired with.]

Oh come now. Why the sour look? You act as if this is at all the worst the Fae-folk could be subjecting us to.

[The Miqo'te smirks, bumping Theo playfully with his shoulder.]

And I certainly can't say I mind the idea of going on a date with you. Gee, I wonder why that could be...

... Ah...

[Well, this is awkward. They're simply dropped off in this random little spot that smells a bit like cherry blossoms. While it's cold out it's still as colourful and warm as the rest of the places Izuku has seen so far.

It takes a second for Izuku to get his bearings and he quickly frets on the spot.]

S-Sorry, that happened faster than I thought...! Are you okay?

[He's going to hold a hand out to her so she can get to her feet. He can at least do that!]

[It's not a date?! It can't be a date?! What is happening!!]

Ahhhh?!

[... They're dropped off in Kanshi before they can even fight the decision. Izuku stands there awkwardly looking at the blond boy but he quickly looks off to the side.]

I don't know what's going on, Kacchan, but we can try to find our way back to the main square instead...

[ There are far worse he could be paired with, he supposes. It makes Theo wonder if this entire thing had been staged.

Either way, Rahk's words are not as humorous as the Miqo'te does. An ear twitches. ]

I realize that it is not the worst thing, thank you. It's not as though I am opposed to spending time with you.

[ His shoulders sag after he's bumped. Then tries not to throw the other a playful smirk. Tries. ]

You wouldn't mind the idea.

[Collei hesitates, unsure if she wants to take the hand. But it would be rude to refuse it, and then she'll feel obligated to tell him why, and even just the thought of it is too mortifying to bear. She sucks it up, takes his hand, and lets him pull her to her feet.

Once up, she starts brushing off her clothes.]

I'm fine, thanks. Are you okay... um... person I'm on a date with?

( Childe comes from a place where the elements are easily used with Visions and the Archons walk among the people even if they try to keep it hidden. The Tsaritsa doesn't, of course, and neither does the Raiden Shogun but the others keep to themselves. It still doesn't prepare him to come to a place like this where he's asked to take care of a little cottage and raise fruit trees in barter for everything else he might need. It's nothing like life would be in Snezhnaya. It's soft, too soft, and Childe isn't sure if he's prepared for such a soft life. A life without the Fatui, without political machinations, without anything but peace? It chafes at him. He needs the blood of the fight.

It takes him all of a few hours to look at the cottage he's in and he thinks that his family might like it and for that reason alone, he thinks fondly of it. Still, he needs to see other people and see what happens here so he makes his way toward a marketboard that isn't too different than the one near the Feiyun Commerce Guild in Liyue Harbor. When he sees someone pass him, he gives them a smile that he hopes is disarming and full of charm. )

I've just arrived and I have no idea what goes on here other than raising fruit in a garden which, I'll be honest, isn't what I'm used to. Am I lucky enough to have found someone who's been here for a while?

( Merry-go-rounds don't exist in Teyvat as far as Childe knows unless they're in Fontaine, a place he hasn't managed to get to yet. It's an interesting little contraption, though, and he can't help but think how much Teucer would love to get on one. It's the thought of Teucer and the pang of homesickness (he gets it sometimes, yes, but now he's not just a boat away from home, is he?) that drives him to go and get on one of the horses. There's someone next to him and he makes polite conversation until suddenly the horse turns to them and says he's going to take them on a date. Childe can't remember the last time he went on a date but it's almost certainly before he was a Harbinger and it didn't go as well as the other person had wanted it to go. He's charming, sure, but he's not one to open up easily.

The horses take them to a flower garden, a place more beautiful than any he's seen in Liyue or Inazuma, and when the horses say there's a condition on their return, Childe just rubs his hand against his forehead. Of course. This place is full of more tricks than he is and he thought he was someone quick to cross and double-cross. It seems more harmless, though, than he has ever been. )

So, do you want to make flower crowns? I used to make them for my brother and sister. I happen to think I'm pretty good at it, actually.

I wouldn't!

[Rahk is just...still smiling, beaming practically, like the cat (literally) that got the cream.]

Are you sure you want to spend this time simply eating together, though? We could do that practically any day...

[fullgauntlet]

[If there's something wrong with hands Izuku doesn't notice too much. His own hand is scarred over from one fight too many so he's not that worried about hand appearances or something! But he'll politely let go as soon as she's on her feet.]

I'm- Okay! I think. Just a little startled that even happened... [dlgjkdfg] Um, I'm Izuku! But this doesn't have to be a date or anything! I don't even know where to s-start with that...

[He looks so apologetic that even happened...]

[ For those that know him and for those that are close to him, Theo can be terribly weak. Soft. Whatever you want to call it. Rahk is no exception. The stupid bard has made it an impossible thing - ignoring him, that is. ]

Is there something you are wanting to ask me, Rahksh'a?

Hmm...

[He decides to make a show next of tapping his fist against his head, thinking thinking...]

I believe I could come up with a few questions...

[Rahk's eyes drift closed...then one opens, peeking sidelong at Theo with a half smirk.]

Of course, that depends on whether you feel safer with twenty of them, or truth or dare instead.

[ She knows him, at least.

Her twin brother's, ah, acquaintance—or does Tartaglia fall under the realm of "friend" now, despite their previous interactions? Lumine doesn't know nor does she care; these are relations that Aether has made, relations that she shouldn't be impeding in any way if she wanted him to continue his journey the same way she did a long time ago. But this crazy horse has a mind of its own, bringing them together elsewhere and calling it—

A date.

Not that she recalls the last time she's ever gone on a date. Not that it matters, given her obligations and objectives, but this is rather inconvenient, considering that she should be trying to dig for information as to where she is.

She drops to her feet back onto the ground when the horse finally stopped in its tracks, glancing around the flower garden. Her golden gaze only flickers back to the creature when it tells them the condition for their return.

Sighing under her breath, she supposes it's the least evil of the options. It's either that or 20 Questions or Truth or Dare. ]

... Isn't it a waste to pick these flowers for something that will eventually wither?

I think the point is that beauty is in something that can't last. Like snowflakes that melt in your hair?

( Childe has already started picking some of the flowers and weaving them into a crown. He's deft at it, having done it before, but the flowers he used in Snezhnaya were small, blue Forget-me-Nots and these are pink and a riot of color instead of a pale bloom of winter.

Lumine is different. He'd met her originally in Liyue Harbor and she'd been damnably honest and brave, traits he had to admire even if they worked actively against his interests at the time, and this Lumine seems reserved and cooler than the one he's used to. He isn't sure what changed in her and he hopes it isn't something similar to what happened to him, an encounter with the Abyss that has left a part of him dark and removed from everyone else. )

No two are alike. Snowflakes, of course. That's why we care about them so much where I'm from.

( A bend of the truth. )

[ Sentimental and cloying—she does remember those traits about the Harbinger. Ironic, given his proclivities towards violence and blood. Maybe that's why her brother has softened his stance towards him; it's the kind of sentimentality that Aether shares.

That she used to share.

Since he started plucking the flowers from their stems, Lumine follows suit, wandering towards a cluster of gentians and flaxes in the field. Her fingers deftly bend and snap the stems, collecting the flowers in her other hand. ]

There's no beauty in the discomfort brought about by melted snow in your hair.

[ It's chilly and uncomfortable, hair strands freezing in the chill of Snezhnaya. But then, she also appreciates the cold, hardening everything in sight and suspending it in time.

Just like the flowers in her hair. ]

Is that why you decide to make flower crowns instead of choosing the other options?

[ Augh. Bards and their flare for being dramatic. Rahk is in no way any different. He is a terrible, horrible influence. Theo can't help but let some of himself shine through when the other is so adamantly playful like he's being right now. ]

Oh I am sure that you could.

[ Because Rahk is nosy and Theo? Well most Viera that leave their homes tend to keep things relatively close to the chest. ]

The problem that I am having in making a decision is that I'm not sure which option is the least incriminating.

A Snezhnayan poet would argue with you but poets in Snezhnaya are fairly rare. Something about being frozen all the time ruins your inspiration for things. As to flower crowns, well. You don't want to go and lay all your secrets out on the table when you can use them to your advantage.

( Leverage. He might be the youngest Harbinger but Childe knows plenty about leverage and where to apply it and he isn't going to trade secrets with someone he doesn't know. If this was his Lumine, maybe one or two, but this one seems different and seems as if she might be more dangerous with the information than the girl he knows. )

I bet they make flower crowns in Mondstadt, though. Don't they have a whole festival about flowers or something? I've never been there during Windblume.

[ Smart, she thinks. And here she thought he was only all talk.

Lumine makes a noncommittal noise at his remark about sharing information, deciding that she's gathered enough flowers and settling down on a certain area in the field. Her hands start to weave the flowers togethers, crisscrossing the stems, letting the blossoms effectively hide them, trying to recreate the one given to her by the Aranara a long time ago. ]

Mm, Mondstadt's streets are covered with flowers, while everyone offers their own representation of the Windblume flower to Barbatos or a person they love. Whether it's a single bloom or a flower crown you offer, it doesn't seem to matter to the god.

[ She doesn't think the festival has changed since she's last gone to one. She would've known if it has. ]

After all, it's a festival that supposedly celebrates both freedom and love.

[ sumire wouldn't necessarily say that she's been settling in well, this is all so new and strange, it feels like a dream, but.. she's taking things in stride! if this is a dream, well, best to make the best of it while she can, right? you only experience a magical land of faery tales and adventure once in a lifetime, after all!

so she's happy to take part in the events; the carousel is so cute and lovely, sumire finds herself on a nice pink horse soon enough. the ride is quite fun, the cool wind in her hair feels nice, and she's just beginning to really enjoy herself when.. her horse turns around and speaks to her?? oh my god, so magical?? except she's soon swept away with a partner, which was.. entirely unexpected, and deposited unceremoniously in kanshi. the gardens and foliage are quite beautiful, but she's completely stuck on what the horses said before departing - this is a.. a date? with her cheeks flushed pink, sumire clasps her hands behind her back, biting her lower lip. she's shy!! ]

So, um.. what would you.. like to do?

cherubs: shot to the heart;

[ sumire is shopping around fable, looking for something comfortable to wear. though she thankfully arrived in her cozy winter coat and scarf, a girl can't survive on one outfit alone!

so she's just outside the clothing shop when, poof, something strikes her from behind, hard enough that she stumbles right into.. you! ]

O-oh.. I'm so sorry!

[ sumire stands straight again quickly, smoothing the front of her coat before she begins fussing over whoever she has run into, reaching to try to straighten their jacket or shirt or hair tie - whatever your character might be wearing that has now gotten knocked askew in their collision! choose your arrow color! ]

festivale: feather frenzy;

[ music! dancing!! these are two things that sumire loves a great deal, so when a peacock tells her to shake her booty, you'd best bet that she absolutely will. laughing merrily, sumire breaks into an easy, yet elegant dance in a circle around the peacock, before she's bounding toward the nearest person.

though, once she reaches you, she's a little more demure, clearing her throat and tucking her red fringe behind one ear. ]

[Madeline is a Drakon born and raised by humans who only recently discovered her true nature. Her world is one where a clear dividing line called the Veil exists that keeps magical creatures (fae, dragons (Drakon), dwarves, werewolves, trolls, etc.) hidden from human existence for the most part. [I] Arrival;

Um...

[Yes, seeing herself blissfully asleep through a mirror was odd but frankly her life has been filled with oddities and new learning experiences as of late. Heck her whole appearance is new to her -- the horns curling back over her bright white hair, the scales lining her body, the clawed feet and the tail. It's all new and something she's still adjusting to and this new thing to adjust to is just as odd.

Now that she's standing in front of a tiny little cottage with an overgrown front yard of flowers and trees just a little wide-eyed. Her small apartment back home pales in comparison to how big this cottage is bound to be for it's meager size.

It's clear though by the furrow between her brows and the tiny twitch of her tail tip that Madeline herself is just a little confused.]

So they just ... give us a house?

[She's so used to scraping together rent from her paychecks that the idea of housing just being handed out is baffling to her.]

[II] Merry-Go-Round;

[Who can help but notice all the lights, not to mention the cafe and the carousel? At first Madeline goes looking around mostly for the cafe. She works in a little hole-in-the-wall cafe back home so others inevitably draw her attention.

She ends up at the carousel though because she's sort of herded that way by a cookie-dealing Fae and a cherub that seems dead set on following her around. She doesn't like the looks of those arrows, though she hasn't a clue what they do. With her luck in romance it can't be very good if it is Valentine's themed anyhow.

So she mostly goes on the carousel to escape them both, a cookie in hand as she settles onto a horse and wisely curls her tail up into her lap just in case.

She's only bitten into her cookie when the horse turns to look at her. It gives her such a surprise that she nearly chokes on said bite of cookie.]

What?

[... Is it beginning to move? More than just up and down that is? Once she's sure the horse has detached from the carousel Maddie makes an ungraceful sound as she lurches forward on said horse and wraps her arms around it's neck. Her tail begins lashing violently in the air, back and forth.]

Wait! Stop! I don't need a date, I promise!

[III] Cupid's Arrows;

[If the kidnapping carousel isn't enough then finally getting hit by one of the very arrows she's been trying to avoid certainly is. She pulls the arrow out with an aggravated snarl that sounds less human and more animalistic.]

I said I don't need a date! Or romance either! So lay off, I've already got a --

[Maddie's aggravated tirade is cut off by the sharp, quick hiccup that escapes her mouth.]

[IV] Feather Hunting;

[Thankfully when it comes to gathering purple feathers in Kanshi Madeline doesn't need to fairy wings. Instead when the bit of magic is offered she 'ohs!']

Wait, I have wings already. I just -- hold on, I haven't practiced popping them out so ...

[A bit of concentration and a set of dark dragon wings readily blip into existence. Not there one moment and then poof, there the next! It's like they're always there and she's just 'uncovered them' from some sort of magical guise ... which is what's happened.

She turns to one of the people closest to her who has had a set of wings slapped on by magic (or not) with a bright smile showing off a few sharp little fangs.]
